This Burmese amber specimen contains two well-preserved flies, their wings and bodies clearly distinguishable within the golden resin. Burmese amber (Cretaceous, 99 million years old) offers a much older window than Dominican amber, making even common insect inclusions like flies highly significant. These provide insights into early Diptera evolution during the time of the dinosaurs.
All pieces come with an info card with their locality.
