Some insects display social behavior, some do not. These are the best examples of social insect behavior we have found in amber.

This is a whole group of ants who got trapped in amber together.
3) Mating swarm of flies.
Origin: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar
Age: ~98–100 million years
Geologic Period: Mid-Cretaceous

2) Swarm of mating flies.

These flies mate socially for high chance of reproductive success. The more, the merrier. Set in a woven bracelet.
