Spiderwebs pervade forests, but they are very delicate to be caught in amber. Therefore they are rare. These are the best spiderwebs we have found in amber.
1) Wasp caught in spiderwebs, with it's stinger out.
Provenance: Burmese Amber (Myanmar)
Origin: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar
Age: ~98–100 million years
Geologic Period: Mid-Cretaceous
This wasp is caught in spiderwebs, and also has it's stinger out. Clear eyes.
