Most animals have legs. They come in all shapes and sizes. These are the best ones we have found in amber.


6) Large red centipede.

Origin: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar

Age: ~98–100 million years 

Geologic Period: Mid-Cretaceous


This is a species related to today's "house centipedes." It is slightly red due to oxidation.

A large specimen with Very clear terminal legs.




4) Adult hemiptera with clear legs and wings.

Origin: Dominican Republic

Age: ~15–20 million years 

Geologic Period: Miocene


This bug displays it's legs in fine detail. The wings are good too.

This full body spider is perfectly preserved.
