Insects reproduce with a larval stage. They may look similar to their adult forms, or different. This collection highlights the best larvae in amber that we have found.


1) Beetle larva in amber.

Provenance: Burmese Amber (Myanmar)

Origin: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar

Age: ~98–100 million years 

Geologic Period: Mid-Cretaceous


Beetle larva with very clear hairs.
