Insects reproduce with a larval stage. They may look similar to their adult forms, or different. Here are the best larvae we've found in amber.


1) Beetle larva in amber.

Provenance: Burmese Amber (Myanmar)

Origin: Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar

Age: ~98–100 million years 

Geologic Period: Mid-Cretaceous


Beetle larva with very clear hairs.
