Wasps are beautiful in amber and quite common as well. These are some of the best wasps in amber we have found over the past 10 years of selling amber.
7) Clear parasitic wasp.
Origin: Dominican Republic
Age: ~15–20 million years
Geologic Period: Miocene

6) Swarm of clear wasps.
Provenance: Dominican Amber, Palo Quemado
Origin: Dominican Republic
Age: ~15–20 million years
Geologic Period: Miocene
There are four or more wasps in this piece, some of which display great wings and eyes.

This wasp has it's stinger extended in self defense, but alas, it was not enough to escape neither the spiderwebs nor the amber.
